5 November (Saturday), 4.00pm to
6 November (Sunday), around 4.00pm at Christ the King Chapel, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong. The focus of this devotion will be on “The Eucharist as the Source and Summit of the Life and Mission of the Church”, the main theme of the Ordinary Assembly of the Synod of Bishops to be held at the Vatican in October.
On 5 November, at 4:00 pm, Bishop John Tong, VG, will preside at the exposition of the Blessed Sacrament. This will be followed by hourly adoration of the Blessed Sacrament by groups of the faithful from parishes and other Catholic communities, accompanied by scripture readings and hymns, etc.
To conclude the whole ceremony, Bishop Joseph Zen sdb, will preside at a solemn vespers on
6 November at 3.30pm, with homily and benediction.
The “Diocesan Organising Committee for the Year of the Eucharist Celebrations” will be responsible for making arrangements for the above Closing Ceremony.
