Canossian jubilarians

Hong Kong (SE): On September 10, the Canossian Sisters celebrated the jubilees of Sister Margaret Renoldi, who marked a remarkable 80 years as a religious, and Sister Magdalen Shiu, who celebrated her silver anniversary.

A thanksgiving Mass was concelebrated  by Father Thomas Leung SJ, Father Lawrence Lee Len and Father Philip Chan at the Canossian Missions Chapel in Caine Road.

Father Leung encouraged the sisters to follow the example of the call and conversion of St. Peter, to whom Jesus gave the commission, “Feed my flock.”

He then invited the sisters to live out the consecrated life, which in itself is a process of continual conversion.

Sister Shiu, who is in the education ministry, also renewed her vows of poverty, chastity and obedience and, at the offertory, she offered a lamb, as a sign of her willingness to trust in the light of Christ to lead his flock to the fold through her life of consecration and apostolate.

The Canossian Sisters thank all those who were present and ask for their continuous support and prayer.
