RIP: Deacon Karl Tsang

Hong Kong (SE): Deacon Karl Tsang, of the permanent diaconate of the Catholic Diocese of Hong Kong, died of cancer at Tuen Mun Hospital on April 21 (Thursday) at 8:00pm. He was 72-years-old. Deacon Tsang was born in Hong Kong on 30 December 1943. He was married at St. Peter’s Church, Aberdeen, in 1966, and was ordained a permanent deacon on 5 July 1997 at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Caine Road. A vigil Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 4, at Holy Redeemer Church, Tuen Mun, New Territories, at 8.00pm. John Cardinal Tong Hon, the bishop of Hong Kong, will be the principal celebrant at the funeral Mass on May 5, at 10.30am at the same church. Cremation will follow immediately at Cape Collison Crematorium, Chai Wan. May he rest in peace. |
