Thought for the week

Master,” Simon answered, “We worked hard
all night long and caught nothing. But if you
say so, I will let down the nets.” (Luke 5:5)

But if you say so...
I will let down the nets of my pride
Through the power of your word I may survive
You alone are the captain of my soul, my guide
That my weak and drooping spirit may revive.

But if you say so...
I will not be afraid of darkness
In the midst of darkness you are my true light
O Lord, my God deliver me from my weakness
You, the source of my strength, my soul’s delight

But if you say so...
I will go and proclaim your kingdom
To all the people I will catch in the world
That they may live with joy and have freedom
Whole-heartedly welcome you our King and Lord.

About me getting old
—A poem to Sanna

Sanna, I am getting old.
I cannot see or hear well.
I cannot eat or drink easily.
I cannot even walk quickly or run.

Suffering from pains and illness,
I am getting weaker day by day.
I only remember my old days.
Sometimes I cannot even remember your name.

Nothing is important for me.
No flowers or presents are necessary.
No food or drinks are needed.
Just remember my name and weaknesses.

Spare a little moment with me
when you are free.
Chat with me
as I also have an iphone three!
