My precious moment

I have set the Lord always before me because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved” (Psalm16:8). This reading from the Psalms is related to my real life.

While reading that line, I can always feel that the Lord speaks to me. He is always at my side even in difficult situations. He is really near me, teaching me because I don’t know how to manage my current status now. The guidance of the Holy Spirit is alive in me.

I came across a really difficult situation on May 21, the day of an annual event in our parish, Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Kennedy Town. It was the Living Rosary and I needed 11 people for the ceremony, but only seven from our group volunteered. I needed every group to provide a number of people.

I prayed to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus to help me get the number of people I needed. I kept on praying, praying and praying. I tried to recall in my memory the name of our friends and where I could get the number of persons I needed.

Then I thought of an approachable group with members willing to give generous support. I tried to invite them. I didn’t expect at that moment that the group had already arrived.

I was indeed really surprised that my prayers were granted. It was the Love of Jesus Prison Ministry with its loving coordinator, Rose Sulartin, who accepted my invitation.

I would like to extend my thanks also to Father Javier Gonzales for joining our group for lunch that day. Also a heartfelt thanks to our mother centre of Apostleship of Prayer Centre I for sending six people to participate in our event that day.

Thank you God. Jesus Christ is sanctified in our heart. Never lose faith and just trust and pray with sincerity. Thanks to everyone who participated in the event.
