Nations are ruined by hypocrisy cardinal says

MANILA (SE): “God is my joy in every circumstance of my life knowing that he works all things out always for the good of all,”
Luis Cardinal Antonio Tagle, the archbishop of Manila said on the occasion of his 60th birthday on June 21, UCAN reported.
Celebrating Mass at Manila Cathedral, he warned people against play-acting when praying, fasting, or giving alms. “Lives are ruined by such play acting,” he said, adding that, “Communities are ruined, families are ruined, nations are ruined by hypocrisy.”
UCAN also reported that on June 19, Church workers of the Manila archdiocese organised a blood collection drive in cooperation with the Philippine Red Cross as a gift to commemorate Cardinal Tagle’s birthday
“I think the best gift is to help save or extend somebody’s life, that’s why we have this blood donation drive,” Father Sanny de Claro, archdiocesan director of human resource development, said.
“Through this, we also want to show the cardinal that we treasure life,” he added.
The blood collected will be used to help poor people who cannot afford to buy blood, Father de Claro explained.
