HONG KONG (SE): Students and teachers enjoyed the events and activities of the recent annual Religious Week held by the Rosaryhill School from May 21 to 24 under the theme, Be Humble, encouraging them to grow and flourish in the spirit of humility.
 
At the school chapel on May 21, students and teachers were inspired by the story of Father Jordan Zhang Dong Bo’s vocation and journey to the priesthood, as he spoke of the challenges he faced, especially in telling his family about his decision to become a priest. He also shared about his perseverance and the determination needed at the start of his priesthood and rewards of life as a faithful servant of God.
 
During another event at the school chapel on May 23, A Taste of Taizé, Brother Lucas Ho gave an introduction to activities and prayer life of the Taizé Community in France and spoke about the upcoming International Meeting of Young Adults 2018 , which takes place on Hong Kong from August 8 to 12. 
 
Brother Lucas shared about the spirituality and the daily lives of young people at Taizé, including the Church of Reconciliation, as well as the meaning of each component of a typical Taizé prayer. This warm and joyful introduction was followed by a talk by the guest speaker Catherine Cheung, who gave a colourful sharing on how her faith, and her visits to Taizé have been a key pillar of balance and peace in her busy life. 
 
After the talks, Brother Lucas led a 30-minute prayer session where more than 400 students and teachers experienced the Taizé way of prayer for the first time. The chapel was filled with joy in the Holy Spirit everyone sang and prayed together. 
 
Before leaving, some students requested with excitement for regular Taizé prayers to be organized in the school.  
 
The feast day of St. Dominic, May 24, the highlight of the Religious Week, was held at the school hall, with kindergarten, primary and secondary sections participating in the celebration of the Mass, together with the Dominican Fathers, Brothers and Lay Dominicans.
