Graduation at Caritas Wu Cheng-chung Secondary School

HONG KONG (SE): Guests, parents, graduates and teachers filled the campus Caritas Wu Cheng-chung Secondary School, Pokfulam, on the occasion of the school’s thirteenth graduation ceremony on May 26.
 
The event began with the national anthem, followed by a thanksgiving prayer and a warm welcoming speech by school supervisor, Dominic Cheng Chun-fat.
 
Guest of honour, Elizabeth Loh Ka-yee PhD, assistant professor at the University of Hong Kong (Faculty of Education), was invited to give a speech, and present prizes and certificates to graduates. 
 
A graduating student, Alexis Jennifer Miranda Lagarde, was presented with the Certificate of Excellence in Academic Performance and Conduct.   
 
Professor Loh regaled the students with stories about some of her most extraordinary summer job experiences from her younger days, saying that she still found the experiences valuable and useful today. She also encouraged them to always prepare for the best as well as for the worst.  
 
Guests were entertained by a rendition of The Swan on the flute with percussion. 
 
The event concluded with the singing of the school song and guests were invited to enjoy some light refreshments.
