St. Paul Sisters celebrate religious professions

Hong Kong (SE): The Sisters of St Paul of Chartres celebrated with joy the perpetual vows of eight of their congregation: Sister Teresa Clara Nguyen, Sister Anna Cecilia Truong, Sister Therese Faustina Nguyen, Sister Anne Maria Bui, Sister Marie Elisabeth Nguyen, Sister Marie Augustine Do, Sister Anne Pauline Nguyen and Sister Marie Assumption Phan; and the first profession of four more: Sister Teresa Angela Tran, Sister Mary Thomas Truong, Sister Annie Nguyen and Sister Rose Mary Dang; on August 28 at Christ the King Chapel in Causeway Bay
 
Bishop Michael Yeung Ming-cheung, the bishop of Hong Kong concelebrated the Mass with 21 priests from Hong Kong and Vietnam. People from different parishes, staff from St. Paul’s institutes and the Vietnamese community came to share the joy and witness the great moment.
 
The eight sisters who made their perpetual vows came to Hong Kong in 2007 and 2008. During their formation period, they learned the Cantonese language also took up studies to facilitate their apostolic work. They will continue to serve in St. Teresa’s Hospital, St. Paul’s Hospital and in schools. 
 
Those who made their first profession arrived in Hong Kong in 2013 for their religious formation and language training. 
 
They will serve at the hospital and school.
 
May they be faithful to their promise and be witnesses of God’s love.
