Bell rings for healing

Over 40 Catholic and Protestant churches rang the bells together to call on the faithful to pray for Hong Kong at one’o clock on September 1, the last day of the summer holiday.

At the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception, Caine Road, parish priest Father Dominic Chan Chi-ming (left) led a prayer session for God’s help to lead people to walk out of the crisis caused by the now-shelved extradition bill and pray for the healing of the hearts of Hong Kong people, especially young people and students, and that Catholics can become the instruments of peace at this critical time.

The cathedral will hold a 40-hour Eucharistic adoration starting from 7.00pm on September 20 to 1.00pm on September 22 to pray for rebuilding of trust and harmony in the love of God in the city.
