Chrism Mass celebrated

HONG KONG (SE): The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Caine Road was fully packed for the celebration of the Chrism Mass on Holy Thursday, April 18. 
 
The event was the time for all the priests and deacons of the diocese to renew the vows of their ordination and, along with representatives of the entire diocesan community to come together in solidarity around the bishop, who blesses the Holy Oils—Oil of the Sick, Oil of Catechumens, and Sacred Chrism—for use in the coming year.

Share the gospel by living it bishop says

HONG KONG (SE): “Sharing the gospel does not mean merely sharing the knowledge of it, instead it invites the faithful to share their lives lived according to gospel values,” said Bishop Michael Yeung Ming-cheung, the bishop of Hong Kong, in his homily during the Chrism Mass on March 29. 
 
Over 1,000 people packed the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Caine Road for the celebration on Holy Thursday.

Bishop highlights China and marriage in celebration of priesthood

HONG KONG (SE): It is at the Chrism Mass, which this year was celebrated on the morning of Holy Thursday, March 24, at Immaculate Conception Cathedral that the priestly identity of Christ in the local Church as a diocesan community made up of bishops, priests, deacons, consecrated persons and lay people, is explicitly acknowledged.
