A Message for Pro-Life Day 2019
We celebrate our third Pro-Life Day on the Feast of the Visitation at the end of May. The choice of this Feast to promote the sanctity of human life from conception to natural death is particularly appropriate, in that the reality of the unborn Word of God having been brought to visit and to bless his cousin John the Baptist, causing the latter to leap in the womb for joy, to emphasise the human dignity and rights of the unborn, which we can now visualise with 4D ultrasound technology from early pregnancy. ![]() |

HONG KONG (SE): At a Mass celebrated at the cathedral on May 31 to mark Pro-Life Day, the bishop of Hong Kong, John Cardinal Tong Hon, challenged all organisations in the diocese to be promoters of life.
It is the first time that the diocese has formally marked Pro-Life Day. In his message, which was published at the end of April, the cardinal stressed that human life should be protected from the moment of conception to the moment of natural death.

Pro-Life Day
John Cardinal Tong Hon said in his Message for the 2017 Pro-Life Day that the Hong Kong diocese will celebrate the day on May 31 and dedicate it to the promotion of an appreciation of the sacredness of life.
The bishop of Hong Kong said explicitly that this decision, as envisioned by Pope John Paul II, is to promote this special day as an annual event. Its aim is to arouse awareness, respect for and protection of human life.
