Unite in helping needy says message for Diwali

VATICAN (UCAN): Christians and Hindus are bound by their belief in human dignity and share a responsibility to help those in need, Bishop Miguel Ayuso Guixot, the secretary of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue, said in a written message to the world’s 1.1 billion Hindus on October 1, in advance of the three-day festival of Diwali which begins on November 7 in most parts of the world, focuses on the victory of truth over lies, light over darkness, life over death and good over evil. |
