Gambling addicts seek redemption through faith

HONG KONG (UCAN): Compulsive gambling is not only ruining the lives of the gambling addicted but destroying families as more victimised spouses seek help from support agencies, according to a recent survey by the Caritas-Hong Kong Addicted Gamblers Counselling Centre.

Emotional needs of the terminally-ill

HONG KONG (SE): The fifth Bioethics Conference is scheduled to be held at the Caritas Institute of Higher Education in Tseung Kwan O from December 9 to 10 with a focus on the care of the terminally-ill.
 
The conference is being organised by the Bioethics Resources Centre of the Holy Spirit Seminary College of Theology and Philosophy in cooperation with some other organisations.

Embrace the divorced and remarried

PARIS (SE): On the day that Emmanuel Macron was elected as the new president of France, a meeting of a different kind took place in the diocese of Le Havre, far from Paris in the northwest of the country.
 
Bishop Jean-Luc Brunin had sent out invitations to people who have been through the experience of a separation or a divorce, as well as to those who are divorced and remarried to come to a gathering on May 7 for a day of sharing and fellowship.
