Twenty-Second Sunday in Ordinary Time: Tunay na kalinisan

Minsan ay may mga Filipina na dumalaw sa aming bahay pormasyon sa Sha Tin.  Dahil sa aking pagiging abala noong araw na iyon ay hindi ko sila buong araw na naasikaso, bagkus, pagdating nila ng umaga ay iniwan na lamang namin sila at binigyan ng kalayaan na gamitin ang aming bahay para na rin sa kanilang pamamahinga at pagsasaya.

Pagmamahal na may aray

Minsan ako ay aksidenteng nadulas at tumama ang aking braso sa isang salamin. Nagdulot ito ng isang malaking hiwa sa aking kaliwang braso. 
 
Kinailangan akong dalhin sa isang ospital upang tahiin ang sugat. At habang ginagamot ako ng doctor ay paulit-ulit niyang tinatanong kung kaya ko pa ang sakit dahil kung hindi ay tuturukan niya ito ng pampangimay o anesthesia.

Offer your life if you don’t want to lose it

The apostles were convinced that the kingdom of God was imminent. But they believed in an earthly kingdom. 
 
They had followed Jesus to see their dreams of glory fulfilled. The only question pending was to determine who would be entitled to the first places of honour (Mark 9:34).
