Is booing the national anthem really a mortal sin?

HONG KONG (SE): As the Hong Kong Football Association is being fined for a second time over the behaviour of some fans during the playing of the Chinese national anthem prior to international soccer matches in the city, an evening seminar organised by three Church groups on December 14 said it does not believe that people are booing the country of China itself, but rather its system of governance.

Bishop’s anthem woes

HONG KONG (SE): A saga that began at the Caritas Bazaar on November 12 with a question to Bishop Michael Yeung Ming-cheung as to whether he would instruct Catholic schools on how to sing the Chinese national anthem ended on the evening of November 16 with the bishop of Hong Kong appearing on television in the midst of a media scrum.
