A Caritas spring

HONG KONG (SE): Caritas-Hong Kong (HK) brought together benefactors and well-wishers for its annual Spring Reception to celebrate the Chinese New Year on March 13, at the Community Hall of Caritas House, Caine Road.
 
Welcoming the guests to the tea gathering, students from Caritas Nursery School-Shatin, performed a lion dance and sang an action song.

Caritas bazaars for a better world

HONG KONG (SE): The Caritas Charity Bazaar season got under way this year on November 5 with the secretary for education, Kevin Yeung Yun-hung, cutting the ribbon at Fa Hui Park in Boundary Street, Kowloon, on November 5.
 
At a short opening ceremony with Father John Baptist Tsang Hing-man, the chairperson of the Caritas Council, and other guests, Father Tsang encouraged all sectors of Hong Kong to work towards creating a society earmarked by the hope that young people can have the freedom and space to show their potential.

Caritas Bazaars a season for the common good

HONG KONG (SE): November is traditionally the month of the Caritas Bazaar Season in Hong Kong, Kowloon, Cheung Chau and the New Territories.
 
For three consecutive Sundays beginning at Fa Hui Park in Kowloon, thousands of people will give of their time, sweat and expertise in putting together a variety of stalls and entertainment areas for the tens of thousands who will come to search out a bargain, enjoy the atmosphere or just splurge a bit on a good cause.

We are all people on the move

HONG KONG (SE): To mark the launch of Share the Journey by Caritas Hong Kong, a prayer vigil for migrants and refugees was held at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on September 27.
 
Bishop Michael Yeung Ming-cheung said during the vigil that caring for migrants and refugees is an important expression of our faith and we should not forget that each and every one of us is but a traveller on this earth.

Spring at Caritas

HONG KONG (SE): Guests at the Caritas Spring Reception held in the community hall in its head office in Caine Road on February 17 were treated to an exhibition of Dragon Dancing by students from Caritas Lok Jun School and a graceful performance by students from the Caritas Pelletier School.

Caritas Bazaar Season up and running

HONG KONG (SE): The first two of six in the annual Caritas Bazaar Season were kicked off at Tuen Mun and Victoria Park on November 6.

The season was formerly opened at Victoria Park with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by the secretary for development from the Hong Kong government, Paul Chan Mo-po, flanked by the chairperson of the Caritas Council, Bishop Michael Yeung Ming-cheung; and the executive director of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Asia) Limited, Ip Kwun-tong.

The Caritas Bazaar A Hong Kong event

HONG KONG (SE): In most areas of life there are winners and losers, but in the Caritas Bazaar Season, which officially opens in Victoria Park on November 6, there will be no losers.
