Division among Churches obstructs the joy of the gospel

HONG KONG (SE): “The divisions within and between the communities, the Churches and society have grown deeper, more hurting. And therefore, reconciliation is a need of the time. Why don’t we, people of different Churches, come together more often? Why don’t we pray together? This shouldn’t be limited to a one-time event, instead, it should be part of our daily Christian life.

Appreciating differences is key to ecumenism

HONG KONG (SE): Participants at the Taizé International Meeting of Young Adults in Hong Kong said that understanding and respecting each others’ differences is key to promoting ecumenism and to having harmony among people of different denominational and cultural backgrounds. The ecumenical gathering titled, Pilgrimage of Trust and Reconciliation, was organised by the Taizé Community and in Hong Kong from August 8 to 12.

Hong Kong gears up for Taizé event

HONG KONG (SE): For five days from August 8 to 12, young adults from all over the world will descend on Hong Kong, where the aspiration for peace and the need for reconciliation is ever-growing, for the Taizé Community’s  Pilgrimage of Trust and Reconciliation
 
Taizé Brother Hanyol Shin, who hails from South Korea, expressed his hopes to the Kung Kao Po that the gathering would attract over 2,000 young people.
