Give your lives to the young people says Salesian rector major

HONG KONG (SE): Father Ángel Fernández Artime, rector major of the Salesians of Don Bosco (SDB), officiated at a ceremony marking the birth anniversary of St. John Bosco as well as the anniversaries of religious professions on August 16 in Hong Kong, during his trip to the China province from August 11 to 17. 
 
Father Artime arrived on August 15 to a warm welcome by members of the Salesian Youth Movement at the Salesian Missionary House in Shau Kei Wan.

Salesian Sisters honour jubilarians

HONG KONG (SE): The Daughters of Mary Help of Christians (the Salesian Sisters) in Hong Kong celebrated their Foundation Day on August 5 along with the silver and diamond jubilees of the religious profession of six of their sisters and the perpetual vow of another at St. Andrew’s parish, Tseung Kwan O.

New Salesian provincial elected

HONG KONG (SE): Salesian Father Joseph Ng Chi-yuen was sworn in as the 15th provincial of the Mary Help of Christians Province of China during an installation ceremony celebrated by Father Václav Klement, the regional councillor for East Asia-Oceania, at the Salesian Missionary House, Shau Kei Wan, on June 23.
 
Father Ng was born in Hong Kong in 1955. He made his perpetual vows on 12 July 1987, and was ordained a priest on 31 January 1989.
