True Catholic media doesn’t look for heretics everywhere

VATICAN (CNS): The rise of media that call itself Catholic but seem to exist only to judge others is less about criticising Pope Francis and more about the misguided notion that to affirm one’s own orthodoxy, one must find someone to label a heretic, Andrea Tornielli, the new editorial director of the Dicastery for Communication said on January 24.

Tornielli was commenting on Pope Francis’ remarks in Panama to the bishops of Central America on January 24, the feast of St. Francis de Sales, patron saint of journalists.
