A chapter closes but the dawn of resurrection awaits

HONG KONG (SE): The 24th general chapter of the Sisters of the Precious Blood closed on August 8 with a thanksgiving Mass celebrated by Bishop Michael Yeung Ming-cheung to thank God for his guidance and blessings.
 
After 10 days of discussion and sharing, the 30 delegates left with the confidence that they had found new direction in the challenge of evangelisation faced by the only locally founded religious congregation for women in Hong Kong.

Precious Blood Sisters elect new leadership

HONG KONG (SE): The Congregation of The Sisters of the Precious Blood held its 24th general election on July 26 at which Sister Madeleine Kwong Lai-kuen and Sister Agnes Au Yi-man were re-elected as superior general and assistant superior general.
 
On the same day, Sister Teresa Li Sau-chi, Sister Cecilia Kwok Yuen-han, Sister Josephine Kam Lai-cheng, Sister Paula Lou Kuai-fong and Sister Dominica So Chiu-ho were elected as councillors general.

Fanling children’s village opens multifunction centre

HONG KONG (SE): The Precious Blood Children’s Village held an open day on December 26 in which its newly-established multifunction centre and newly-renovated Precious Blood Retreat House were blessed.

John Cardinal Tong Hon urged people at the blessing ceremony to follow the example of the Sisters of the Precious Blood in caring about the needs of children, who mostly come from deprived or dysfunctional families, with love and mercy.
